Undoubtedly seventies: Real wide angle lenses now affordable and glued to the camera body, and they changed our interpretation of resp. view on almost everything in front of our cameras... And when on a tight budget the Agfa CT 18 had to do instead of the beloved Kodachrome...

Lovely Phil.  Wish I'd used Ectachrome in my filuuum days.

Gorgeous evening colours...and comfy composition.

Looks like edge of Flinders Ranges...my country, the deserts.

Really evokes a gut reaction for me.

All best

Thanks David. I actually did think of you when I posted it. I couldn't remember exactly where I took it, but my wife assured me it was as you say at the edge of the Flinders Ranges. An extraordinarily lovely spot, especially late in the afternoons. I'm really glad it gave you a positive reaction.

All the best to you, too.

Today I have another picture from a film that was stored in an old camera for decades. My stepmom gave me an inherited Rolleicord her father used. Until I got the camera I didn't even know that there was a Rolleicord hidden somewhere. The film I found was in good overall condition, although the camera was open before it was given to me and the film wasn't tight on its spool. I feared a total loss due to light leaks but I tried my usual routine on it and bathed in Rodinal. The negatives are really dense but thanks to modern scanning routines I could retrieve the five pictures that were made before the camera got it's long slumber. The girl to the right is a sister of my stepmom, who is now 54 years old. That shows that the film was exposed about 43 to 45 years ago. I am waiting for a response of my family to these long forgotten memories, as I just scanned the freshly developed pictures. These results once more show, how valuable film photography is.

Rolleicord / Carl Zeiss Jena Trioptar 1:3,5/7,5cm- Orwo NP 20 - Rodinal 1+25

You can't put a value on this kind of thing. Latent for decades, those shy, irresistible smiles waiting to see the light of day again. Thank you James.

First roll of Adox CHS 100 II. This is not like it's discontinued stablemate CHS 25 - the PET base is grey rather than clear, and refuses to be cut by the guillotine in a Rondinax. It's a bit grainy for an ISO 100 film, but I did develop it in Rodinal 1+25, so maybe myself to blame. But otherwise it seems like a nice film!
