Salty detail into the blinding sun, but what about that no-salt diet? This is too delicious, and your exotic rendezvous certainly works up an appetite.

That Sun highlight is spectacular, particularly in offsetting the cool tones in the rest of the shot. Very special!

Though I quite like the products from the brothers Wright, I am not convinced about the CInestill 50D. For the price per roll I expected a much better quality. Just today I got a roll back from the lab and it has the loathed schmootz on oh so many negatives 😥 Anyway, I try to get the best out of it. In the picture below I cropped about one third - so it comes close to XPan format:

You made it into a very dramatic image by cropping James. I have also had bad experiences with Cinestill 50D and won't buy it again. I am generally supportive of any effort to keep film alive but I've just seen and experienced too much troubles with Cinestill. Plus, as an aside, I simply cannot understand how they can re-brand with a straight face and sell Kodak Double-X as "BwXX (double-x)". I assume they've got Kodak's permission, though they don't explicitly say it is a Kodak product (only that "it's wonderful sister films" are Kodak Plus-x and "TPX320"). But at 9,99 USD for a roll it's something like three times what it costs if bought as bulk from Kodak. But I digress.

Something about the daisies is very attractive. Maybe it is the juxtaposition of the natural curves of the flowers and the strong lines from the aperture blades...

Regarding Cinestill film, I think I will stay away from the 50D, but now and then use a roll of 800T, as I made better experiences with this emulsion.

No we didn't exchange any words, but I think he was somewhat taken aback having a lens pointed in his general direction. The trouble using an SLR and an 85mm lens is the time taken to refine focus (I can't remember the aperture used, but I remember fiddling to acquire focus as accurately as possible - time enough for the guy to notice me).

The shadows on the building are cast from a tree with Chinese lanterns.
