Just wonderful Adam. I love these colours, so I think, I have to buy some Ektar too ;)

Regards Joerg

Thanks a lot, Joerg.  I look forward to your Ektar photos.  I'm sure they will be great.

For Adam & his night-time activities - you are not alone!

Catching up on some reading I came across an article in Black + White Photography magazine (Oct 2018, issue #221) regarding a chap called Michael Massaia.  He has suffered serious bouts of insomnia for years so took to wandering about NYC and New Jersey in the early hours.  To quote briefly from the article:-

Massaia carries a cumbersome large-format camera while roaming the streets in the dark, which has created a fair share of problems and issues.  He's been chased, screamed at and has even engaged in countless fights, but admits he's lost some of his nerve in the past year and is trying to figure out how to regain his former confidence.

Currently his favourite cameras are a modified Sinar X 8x10" and a custom 5x7". He largely uses FP4 and TMax100 and develops all his films in a variety of staining developers.

You never know, you might bump into him one night... ;)

Very interesting, Keith.  I have heard of the guy, although I've never seen him around. (His series regarding Central Park at night has actually gotten a lot of press).  I will be on the look out for him 😉

Very good looking result.  What developing kit did you use?  (I keep thinking I should try C41 development).

i use Tetenal C41 ( 1 ltr.) - i was also afraid of doing it, but i think for me it was easier than expected. I gave the bottles in a box which i filled with water of about 35 - 40 dedree. then i waited until the water had 30 degree and then i started the development.

I've had a kit (FPP from the US) for a short while, but this result has me thinking to give it a go. Beautiful colours, and the M/F look as well.

Tried another roll of Superpan, with the IR filter. Certainly different. Might have to try a slightly lighter version.

Leitna It's also my developer for Portra and I keep 38°C during all the development and Fix process. Stab you don't need . With 1 liter you can develop easily  around  10-12 rolls

Keep in  bottle closed and protected from light

Good development Leitna
