Ah, I was there a month or so ago, Vienna. Took a pic from a few steps to the side.

Last week i went to Bordeaux. It has been raining the whole day. So i tried to get the beautiful autumn colours in the "Jardin Public".

Rog, these are always getting ever more complex and increasingly more interesting. The breadth of the resources and material that you are drawing from is certainly impressive.

Very sad to hear of the death of Douglas Rain. As someone said, his contribution to 2001: A Space Odyssey (a film he apparently never watched) was surely one of the great and most chilling acting performances (and HAL was rated number 13 on AFI's list of movie villains).

Kafka Koffee! Talk about Die Verwandlung, there's no such thing as over-caffeination when wrestling an "analog transformation." No doubt, there is the popular barista, Gregor, who delights in reciting the parallel between the Starbucks emblematic siren and Kafka's notion of "The Silence of the Sirens."

Thanks, Phil! Douglas Rain! I admit I don't know the name, but talk about an iconic characterization and the embodiment of all the warnings against embracing cyber-whatever with nothing more than his voice, Douglas Rain should have a star on Hollywood Blvd (if he doesn't already), and if not, at least an appreciative smile from every moviegoer for his contribution to art. Yes, you are justified in the tenuous tether of my often detached color abstractions and the coordinates of Kubrick and particularly Tarkovksy (Solaris and even Stalker). There's another pairing (oh, there are so many!) with Kafka and Beckett, and Antonioni and Bergman, in a pact to leave the set at the same time! I mentioned Kafka referencing Kierdorf's cool Prague shots, and I admit I am finally getting around to Carolin Duttlinger's Oxford University Press publication of Kafka and Photography--very energetic, getting her take on the photographic underpinnings of The Metamorphosis, and more. I so enjoy your take of the world, your Weltanschauung.

Cheers, Rog

this one is particularly unique.  The blue just takes over but in a good way.  A very unique palette that works very well!
