Casting spoons, key rings and other little bits and pieces from metal salvaged from unexploded ordnance, Ban Napia, Laos, these miserable people eke out a living from the macabre "finds" and make the most of them... Lao PDR is the most heavily bombed country, per capita, in the world (Source: Wikipedia).

Ready smiles, nonetheless.

Yesterday I took a good friend into the city for lunch, on her birthday. I tried to resist carrying a camera (to be polite) but ended up with the M7 loaded with HP5+, pushed to 800iso in Xtol.

Of course my concentration was elswhere, but I bunged off an entire roll during lunch. The locale was (always is) dark, so I should have pushed the film to 1600  iso. My mistake. Forced to shoot at 1/60th most of the time. I know this locale demands faster speeds, but that was how it went. Here are some of my failures(?)

I like the results (sort of) despite the obvious OOF and camera shake. They have some sort of mood for the place, only because I am familiar with it.

She lookes soo exotic and colourful and knew it!

Excuse the total OOF, but she still has such a confident air.
