Warwickshire.  One of those quiet Sunday afternoons in late winter as the day begins to shut down and only the blackbirds are calling before darkness takes over.

This one and the two recent triptychs are excellent Rog. This five-colour corner almost looks like a coat of arms in some way.

Thanks, Philip. I really appreciate your observation; yes, I think it does look something like a coat of arms with those particular colors. This was near the entrance to my local grocery store, so it was my “box of chocolates“— you never know what you are going to get.

I have been having fun with the triptych studies. This last one, “Elevator Polar Bear Triptych“, is fanciful because it features a red elevator door many would not guess is an elevator door, but if you read the title first, your perception is changed from simply looking at it as a color value. It calls up my favorite line from Dostoyevsky about trying to not think of a white polar bear, and yet, that’s all you end up thinking about.

BTW the cache of your abstracts on your website is awesome. And the lion portraits are something to roar about, certainly.

Cheers,

Rog

Unfortunately I could post #lightleak photos for days. My Rollei Prego micron produces them on a regular basis, I showed some results in this thread in the past. This is a typical example:

These faults can be annoying, but sometimes I tend to like them, esp. when I have a roll with a repeated pattern - like a trademark. A film that is prone to light leaks is Cinestill 800. I often find them on this material, although I put the rolls in the cameras in subdued light.
