HA HA, LOL. It's actually more simple and uneventful than that. I just keep going to these spots relentlessly until I get the sky-fire show.

Kind of like how my dog is relentless in how he sits right at my feet at the kitchen while I am chopping vegetables waiting for a piece to drop on the floor. At some point - even after a long time - there will invariably be a piece of two that falls out of my cutting board and onto the floor. And he is ALWAYS there waiting for it :) :)

I am like my dog with the sunrises and sunsets. More often than not I show up and get nothing. It is so unpredictable that the only way to get it is to just keep showing up and waiting patiently - like a dog :)

That’s very funny Adam :D

Well, perseverance always pays off at the end. Great work!

That texture really adds a nice dimension to the image, Wayne.

Excellent shot, and a location that's just waiting to be used for a paraglider chase in a Bond movie. Those several layers of misty mountains add a delightful three-dimensionality.

This reminds me of my how my favourite director Spielberg sometimes stages his scenes. For instance there is a longer shot in Saving Private Ryan where he has Sizemore's character (at least I seem to remember it is him) standing still amidst a very large amount of soldiers who move in all directions framed in a wideshot with the camera panning slowly to the left and then Hanks joins and they walk together towards the camera. It's a clumsy description, I know, but I'm not able to find a Youtube clip of it at the moment. Anyway, it's very effective trick to focus the viewer's attention immediately on the action and applied by analogy to still photography it makes for interesting images.

Coming out of restaurant after having breakfast with daughter- she, daughter, not a fan of my photo impulses- sees a street musician and, knowing what is coming, makes haste for the car. Another Minox treasure.

Your daughter reminds me of my wife, Wayne. She also takes off as soon as she sees me approaching a stranger on the street :D

I am curious about something. After years of good service from my Paterson tank, it seems to have sprung a leak between the black plastic tank and the red plastic rim. Is this the usual manner of failure for these tanks. Is there certain behavior, e.g. tapping tank bottom on countertop after an inversion, that brings this about?

OBTW, due to this failure, I have switched, temporarily, from inversions to using the black, pronged stem (originally supplied with tank) to rotate the reels in solution. I find the rotation to be a bit more to my taste. Is there any evidence that tank inversion renders superior result to that of reel rotation? So far, I have not seen any great difference in result. The rotation method leaves a markedly cleaner countertop. :)

Best,

Wayne
