Great Steve, really great. Has a certain ballet quality to it, somehow (to my admittedly usually quite befuddled mind). I really like these two, Xíara. In some way they're opposites to each other, yet in some ways they are very similar. Fascinating. Haha yes anything made of brick these days is just hip. Still a terrific black and white photo. We had a discussion a few hundred pages back () about sunsets. I'm a big fan, just like I like ice cream and other simple pleasures. There's nothing like a G type main sequence star disappear beyond the horizon. Speaking of sunsets, I really like the German word for it, Sonnenuntergang. It has an ominous feel to it due to the Untergang (downfall) part, which I have always liked. Darn you Chris. I must resist buying another camera. I believe it was Portra 160. Thanks for the compliment.

Fascinating. Thanks Philip. Must be the light (and the film of course) that links them. They were taken probably within 5 minutes of one another and the view of landscape is just a few yards away from the top of the ramp in the second photo. What do you prefer, the 50er or the 250er? Is the 250er much more grainy than the 50er? I find it difficult to judge by a scan that is reduced to forum size. I am curious how RA4 prints will be… Please excuse my late reply. It is hard to vote for one film, which has lot to do with the fact that I experienced failures with both emulsions. Since I don't have the negatives back, yet, I also can't tell anything reliable about the grain. As soon as I get my hands on the negatives I will do some test scans with my Coolscan to see how exactly the emulsions compare to the films I used regularly. The output with the 50D seems to be a bit more to my liking so far, its downside is the slow speed, as it should be overexposed by 1 stop which makes it a perfect match for sunny days, but will fail in the soon beginning autumn here. Anyway, her comes another cobble stone street from Rovinj, Croatia: Welcome, dear visitor! No, a few more years yet I hope especially as I’m retiring this Christmas. And of course despite my facetious comment above, I love my wife dearly. I’ve just got her into photography after all this time, given her one my Leicas, and she’s now posting on the forum. But not film. Yet! 4
