A miller Posted May 30, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 30, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Shot this with my M3 close up with the dual range goggles. Porta 400. Not as crisp as some of the other pics on this forum. It was windy and I didn't use a tripod. So that could be a reason. Any suggestions are welcome! Welcome, dear visitor! Karl G Posted May 30, 2013 Share #4 Posted May 30, 2013 Very nice rose. If the lens you are using takes a polarizer, it kills the silver sheen from the foliage and flower petals and deepens and enriches the colors.
A miller Posted May 30, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted May 30, 2013 Thanks, Karl. Great tip. I never even thought about that. But then again I have never even visited this "room" of the forum. It makes sense that I would use a polarizer. I'll be sure to keep this in mind the next time I get GAS :D
allamande Posted May 30, 2013 Share #6 Posted May 30, 2013 Adam, This film is made for shots like these, IMHO. These are both gorgeous and polarizer would pop the contrast even more. But as they are, lovely colors and tones. Ece
A miller Posted May 30, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted May 30, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Many thanks, Ece. You should know that your post has officially given me G.A.S.
pauledell Posted May 30, 2013 Share #8 Posted May 30, 2013 Adam, A nice pair. The first has better balance with the two flowers. Lovely colors and sharpness. The second with the single flower has the exquisite sharpness and excellent framing. Why don't you try this in b&w to totally inflame Ece? A miller Posted May 30, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted May 30, 2013 Thanks, Paul. I think I'll save the inflammation of Ece for a few more streetphoto pics that I have up my sleeve
