Northwest Wanderer Posted May 29, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted May 29, 2013 Karl, Someone must have had fun making it. Below is my favorite bench at the lake. It's from the 1940's. platypus Posted May 30, 2013 Share #4 Posted May 30, 2013 Really like this second bench, so rustic!
Karl G Posted May 30, 2013 Share #5 Posted May 30, 2013 What a nice place to sit and pause. Neat how the tree has grown around it. The whole "beam me up" thing on the first bench, which obviously took some major equipment and lifting devices to place, sure is a head scratcher as to why you would think the art somehow not complete without the inscription. And odder still, the paw print.
pauledell Posted May 30, 2013 Share #6 Posted May 30, 2013 Bill, A great set. I like the tree bench the most but I totally expect to see Scottie beamed back down soon to fix the world. Paul

Northwest Wanderer Posted May 30, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted May 30, 2013 Thanks guys. I like the old bench myself. Not sure how old it is but by the way the trees have grown around it suggests it's been there some time. It's located in Farragut State Park here in North Idaho. Interestingly, Farragut State Park was Farragut Navel Training Station during WW2. It was the second largest navel training facility in the U.S at that time. It's located on Lake Pend Oreille which very large and deep.
