Northwest Wanderer Posted May 28, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted May 28, 2013 Thanks K-H, With our damp climate, mushrooms grow well. Spring is prime and in the fall we add huckleberries to the woodland menu.
pauledell Posted May 28, 2013 Share #6 Posted May 28, 2013 Bill, Fried Morels along with a grilled steak. A meal fit for a king. I haven't had those to eat for years. This is not right for you to show us such delicacies. Paul

Northwest Wanderer Posted May 28, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted May 28, 2013 Paul, I guess I shouldn't have posted the pictures. As a result of your comment, I'm going to go out and pick a few morels to go along with a good steak and a glass of wine. (funny) Stuart, You're so right about finding the morels. You really do have to learn where to look for them. They can be underfoot and you don't know it.

Karl G Posted May 28, 2013 Share #10 Posted May 28, 2013 Nice picture and a wonderful edible mushroom that you can be sure is non poisonous by it's distinctive top. The filled mushrooms can be very tricky in that regard. Thanks, now I'm hungry for mushrooms
