Karl G Posted May 27, 2013 Share #3 Posted May 27, 2013 Bill, nice composition, and silhouette shadow. As we were hiking in Bear Swamp yesterday, a couple was riding some Paso Finos. It was interesting watching those gaited horses move away and come back with their riders in absolute motionless comfort and the horses moving with such a fast ground covering gait. We had Thouroughbreds and Apps for years and years. Give Bud a pat and carrot for us.

Northwest Wanderer Posted May 27, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted May 27, 2013 Thanks everyone. Old Bud is a fine old horse. I've owned him for over 20 years. Never a smooth ride but fast and agile. He's bucked me off more times than I can count. He's retired now so he has the easy life. When he feels his oats, he can still jump up and buck out with all four legs. Green pastures and the barn door is always open so he can enter whenever he pleases.

Northwest Wanderer Posted May 28, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted May 28, 2013 Thanks Paul, Old Bud and I have had our rodeos in the past. I've been bucked off more times than I can count. Over the years I've developed a friendship and appreciation for the horse. He has a home at my place for the rest of his days.
platypus Posted May 28, 2013 Share #10 Posted May 28, 2013 Bill, This is a fine shot of a long term friend and much loved "old buddy" while still being interestingly composed and "arty". Clever combination! Dee.
