I have one roll of Velvia100 E6 which I want to have processed and I've seen an advert by this firm in Amateur Photographer magazine. Their website says it is same day turnaround and payment is by credit card in advance.

Has any forum member used them and if so would they recommend them?

Given the price of E6 film and processing costs this may be one of the last rolls I use but it does have some shots on it that I hope justify the cost and so I'd like to use a firm that lives up to its claims.

I have for a few years now - picked them from an ad at the back of B&W Photography but only use them for E-6. Very satisfied with price, quality, turnaround time and reliability. Did try AG but reverted to The Darkroom as more reliable.

Yes, regularly. Fast turn around but more important, excellent processing quality. I have E6 processed unmounted, and C41 processed but no prints for both 135 and 120 format. I scan my own strips on film scanners.

Thanks for all the replies. Regrettably I made a mess of rewinding this film and opened the back too soon. A pity because it was the only film I used during my recent trip to Scotland and had what I hoped were spectacular shots of a sunlit mountain under snow framed by dark clouds.

I was seduced by the dark side and used my Fuji X100 for all the other photos but I'll bear all the comments in mind when I next have an E6 film to process.

To (almost :D) return to the subject of this thread. The Darkroom (aka R.K.Photographic) are in the next town to me and I buy pretty well all my digital consumables there. There are friendly, knowledgeable, and obliging. If their processing service is anything like their customer service then you would have nothing to fear. They deal mainly with professional photographers, but always treat this amateur with courtesy.
