Rick Posted May 21, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) In this thread I am interested in answering the following question only: At this point in time of the early release of the M240, as an owner of the camera, are you generally satisfied with the color you are getting from your M after post-processing a DNG photo? YES/NO* *Please only answer "YES" or "NO." Only actual owners of the M should participate. Do not post if, you do not own the camera at this point in time (even if you once owned it and returned it). Do not post if you have only held the camera in your hand at a dealer or taken a few pictures with your own card or have post-processed files downloaded from the internet (even if you are a professional that takes a lot of pictures and regularly PP a lot of photographs from many cameras). This question is only designed to find out if current owners are generally dissatisfied or satisfied at this point in time of the M240 camera's color output. If, you do not know yet, that isn't an answer option for this question (take more pictures, give it more time before you answer). If, you are generally not satisfied now, but feel that it might be better with an updated profile; vote NO. If, you are generally satisfied now, but feel that it might be better with an updated profile; vote YES. I'll start. YES (please update tally after you vote) YES 1 NO 0 Thank you, Rick

Rick Posted May 22, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) If someone owned it, and returned it due to color issues (like some of the posters here), doesn't it indicate a NO vote? I get what you are asking, but in this survey I just want to get an idea of present owners. I know that some, like Stephen would be a legitimate "NO." But, I have read a couple posts of users that returned their camera because of reasons that were more about camera functions. And, I have read a post of one or two that had it for a few days and returned it. I don't want to count these in this poll because, I don't want to pollute the sample group with other reasons of dissatisfaction. I couldn't come up with a more fair or less arbitrary method. At least this question is pretty well defined. Jaap - I don't care about PP self-rating for this question. I wanted a defined sample group. I didn't want sub-groups of ill-defined and self-defined expertise. We already have enough of those. Heck, we even have sub-sub-groups commenting on the color - DNG-Expert-Don't own the camera. I basically wanted a question that asked the group who actually own the camera and at least use DNG not JPEG. Simple. I know that some, like Stephen would be a legitimate "NO."... Actually I would have voted "Yes", as your question asked if people were happy with the files after post-processing. In fact I love the M240 files, it just takes a lot of work, IMHO, to get them to have similar skin tones to the M9.
