Monterey fishing boats, Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco M9, 50mm Summicron

I have shot this scene every chance I get, over many years, as have millions of other visitors to the area. It's a cliché, but just can't help myself. The camera, on auto-pilot, goes to the eye and clicks. :) Thanks for taking a look. Please add your own famous cliché views, if you dare....all in fun! ;)

Maybe they are cliche because they are so good? Although many may snap it, I'm sure few come away with the framing, composition, exposure and colors of your shots.

I agree completely with Karl. A fine shot.

Thanks for your nice comments, all. Bill, that would be great to see your "postcard views" added here. Thanks!

OK Larry,

This is my Kodak moment. Postcard looking picture of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, Montana U.S.A.

I'm heading back there next week but I doubt I'll get a luckier image of the lake. Just love that place.
