MEB Posted May 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) The eggs are hatching. There were 5 eggs and as of this afternoon three have hatched. She is sitting on two chicks (you can just see one baby under the elbow of her left wing) and the two remaining eggs. Dad is watching from a ledge higher up. I could not get a good shot of him. Again, this took a lot of adjustment to get the glare out of the file caused by the dirty window I shot through. M9 with 75 cron. LR4.4. Thanks for looking, Mark Welcome, dear visitor! Karl G Posted May 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted May 4, 2013 Gorgeous bird and nice to be able to see the nesting behavior in a way that doesn't upset the birds. We had a web cam of a nest in Syracuse but the feed has been down awhile.

stuny Posted May 6, 2013 Share #7 Posted May 6, 2013 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hanl - Thank you, but this is Mark Blumer's photo. He has gotten access to the top of a tower (I think it's in the capitol building) where these falcons have returned. The shots are difficult to take due to the sunlight and dirty window through which he shot, but Mark did the family proud, don't you think?
