Karl G Posted April 30, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 30, 2013 The perspective and subject for scale makes this very appealing.
pauledell Posted April 30, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 30, 2013 George, A wonderful shot with the depth emphasized by the path of sunlight running on the sidewalk with the man walking midway into the scene. Excellent composition, tones and sharpness. Paul
BlackDE Posted May 3, 2013 Share #5 Posted May 3, 2013 The perspective and subject for scale makes this very appealing. +1! Bernhard
A miller Posted May 9, 2013 Share #6 Posted May 9, 2013 Looks like Canary Wharf close to the Barclays and/or Bank of American buildings. I tried to mak this shot work with my cramped 50mm when i was there last week but wasnt confident enough, so i didnt even shoot it. Your shot is extremely well done- bravo! masjah Posted May 9, 2013 Share #7 Posted May 9, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very well handled indeed George. The two things I like most about this image are (i) the excellent monochrome grey scale and ( the tremendously strongly emphasised vanishing point. Michael Hiles Posted May 12, 2013 Share #10 Posted May 12, 2013 Very well made picture. The strong shadows are essential. It reminds me of Bernini's colonnade encircling St-Peter's Square.

George James Posted May 13, 2013 Author Share #13 Posted May 13, 2013 Brian, Thanks for your kind comments. I really enjoy B+W, and this particular image where everything was in stainless steel just shouted to be in monochrome. Best George
