Heute hat Larry Hansen (CEO Hasselblad) das V-System offiziell abgekündigt.

 

The decision, which comes into immediate effect, brings to an end over a half century of evolution of the company's original camera line.

 

Dr. Larry Hansen, Hasselblad Chairman and CEO said: "Everything has its place in time. The veteran 503CW combined with an extensive V System range of interchangeable lenses and accessories, was for seventeen years the camera of choice for discerning professionals and aspirational amateur photographers.

 

But there has been a substantial decline in demand for this camera over the past five years or so and the time has now come for us to reluctantly consign the V System to history. In so doing we would like to thank all fans and customers for both their loyalty and their enthusiasm for our legacy Hasselblad V System."

 

He added: "Now of course the focus on medium format capture is on our H System - the world's most advanced camera system. The latest generation cameras represent medium format capture engineering at its most exemplary and are well-placed to secure and underpin the company's unrivalled reputation for providing highest image quality and craftsmanship. Additionally we are focusing on new products for advanced enthusiasts."

 

Hasselblad has confirmed that the last 503CW has rolled off the production line but the company will continue to provide V System accessories while stocks last. Hasselblad V System support will also still be available through current channels.

So günstig, wie in die gebrauchten Würfelteile geworden sind scheint es einfach keine Kunden mehr für die Neuteile zu geben.

Ich werde sie weiter gerne benutzen, meine 500C genauso wie meine 555 ELD.

Richtig . Ich habe 2009 meine 503CW (Bj 2003) zu ca. 15% des Neupreises der CW gebraucht gekauft. In der vordigitalen Zeit wäre das unmöglich gewesen.

 

Nachdem die Hablas angeblich von versierten Feinmechanikern gut wartbar sind mache ich mir um die Kameras auch keine Sorgen.

Eher um Klein- und Ersatzteile. Im Gegensatz zu Leica habe _ich_ nicht den Eindruck das sich Hasselblad um die Verfügbarkeit dieser bemüht.

Ausserdem hat Zeiss - nach Auslaufen der ZV Serie - den Objektivservice an Habla übergeben - auch etwas was mich unbedingt erfreut.

Schade, dass sie eingestellt wird. Für mich eine der schönsten Kameras überhaupt. Das Niveau auf dem Gebrauchtmarkt hat aber mittlerweile schon Grabbeltischniveau erreicht. Ich habe meine CM schon 25 Jahre und es wird Zeit, dass ich sie mal wieder nutze

Ich habe mir vor ein paar Wochen erst noch ein neues Objektiv für meine 500 C/M zugelegt und in frischen Trix Rollfilm investiert.

 

Fühlt sich gerade ein wenig so an, als hätte man auf der Pferderennbahn zwei mal auf die falschen Pferde gesetzt ;)

Das war doch abzusehen, dass das V System eingestellt wird. Das Digitalrückteil habe ich vor ein paar Wochen verkauft und jetzt glaubt auch noch der Rest des V Systems incl. SWC dran.

Hasselblad wird mittelfristig hoffentlich nicht den Contax Weg gehen, aber wer weiß.

Ein Herr, der echten Einblick in die Szene hat (den Namen möchte ich hier nicht nennen), sagte mir während eines Gespräches über die Hasselblad Lunar (die nichts weiter als eine aufgemotzte und total überteuerte NEX-7 ist): "Wenn man erst einmal Kameras mit Goldauflage und Schlangenlederbezug verkauft, ist das Ende in Sicht." ;)

Eine Lunar braucht keine Goldauflage oder Schlangenleder, die ist auch so schon schlimm genug. Die Krönung ist aber diese hier ferrari-edition

 

Zum Glück erlebt das Victor Hasselblad nicht mehr mit.
