Filter sizes

Can anybody tell where to find information on filter sizes?. I have a MM and want to buy some filters, not sure of the fitting though.

Usual to buy some lenses first ;-)

 

john - with 39mm, 46mm, 49mm, 55mm, 58mm, 60mm, 67mm, 72mm and 77mm fit lenses

If you buy new lenses, the filter size will be included in the data sheet for the lens on the Leica web site.

There is also the Leica Wiki on this site which includes older lenses..

My lens array for the most part uses size 46 filters for my 21. 28 35. 50. I bought several filters to use on my MM. I have not purchased any for the 75 or 90.

Sorry, in my rush I forgot to mention the lenses.

 

I have 3, 21mm super elmar, 35mm summilux asph, 50mm sumicron all purchased recently.

So its 46mm for your 21 and 35. The 50 takes 39mm filters.

When u look at the front o the lenses, it sais E 39 and E 46. This stands for the filter size

For 21SE, 21 C-Biogon, 35 Lux FLE and 50 Lux ASPH e46 is magic number.
