vikasmg Posted April 28, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted April 28, 2013 I have been consolidating some of my old scanned in transparencies of Chinatown and I decided to post some of them on my Zenfolio site with the more recent Chinatown images. Nothing wrong with that in itself but this is no longer a gallery with exclusively Leica equipment. a) most of the images taken before the 90s are not taken with Leica equipment (couldn't afford it back then). the transparencies were much more recently scanned after they had all undergone severe deterioration in the hot and tropical climates that I have mostly lived in. VueScan and a Nikon scanner did their best to recover them but these images are not in good shape by today's standards. So if you look through the images please be aware of that. Most of the images with a Minolta XE1 (Leica had a clone of that back then though!) with Minolta glass. If the file names have "NSP" in them they were taken by my wife with a Minolta XD1 (?) with the two of us sharing lenses. pauledell Posted April 28, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 28, 2013 Vikas, A nice series with the composition, colors and clarity. Please stick to your Leica pictures. I have many slides and b&w negatives that are excellent but will not post them because they were taken with my Nikon's or other formats because of forum protocol. Paul Hi Paul The three pictures included in my post are all taken using Leica equipment. The Zenfolio site though has others as well (though the picture name identifies the non-Leica ones. I tried separating the Leica and non-Leica ones and although with Jeffrey Friedl's add-in for Zenfolio I can separate the pictures, there are others viewing the site who are looking at the pictures generally and not specifically at "Leica Pictures". Particularly for them it breaks the flow of viewing the collection of pictures. Of course, I will avoid posting non-Leica samples here. - Vikas
vikasmg Posted April 29, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted April 29, 2013 I don't get the point of the first shot? maybe you should try a 90mm Yes, I thought of that but I wanted to show a little more of the context. Maybe I could have framed it a little tighter. - Vikas
