As some of you know, a few days ago I taught my first wildlife photography workshop and was rewarded with some cooperative birds who were willing to model for the student. Shortly after dawn while we were watching some distant turkeys, jackrabbits and deer a pair of Canada Geese landed nearby. They were a little too close to get both in the field of view of my 560mm Novoflex Telyt, so here's one of the geese.

After several minutes grazing nearby, the geese announced rather loudly that they were going to fly.

And away they went.

Meanwhile the turkeys passed by giving us a great view of their iridescent plumage. All photos: R8/DMR, 560mm Novoflex Telyt. I should have used the 400 too but I was too slow changing lenses. All comments welcome.
