richam Posted April 24, 2013 Share #6 Posted April 24, 2013 I agree with Stu -- "difficult to select." The difficulty is that these are two different pictures. In the color version, we see the couple as the subject and get more of the story. For example, the hair color indicates the man is older than the lady. And they've been enjoying the sun according to the complexions -- especially the man's. But basically, this is a portrait of the lady, and the grayscale version draws our attention to her and relegates the man more to the background. So it's up to the photographer to decide what the photo is about -- the lady or the couple. Personally, I think the grayscale makes a better photo; the color version would have worked better if we could have seen more of the man.
vdb Posted April 24, 2013 Share #7 Posted April 24, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nice work Dopaco. If I may suggest...A bit too much empty space on top....I wouldve pointed the camera down to include more of the subjects, less empty space above. And perhaps less sharpening. My 2c. becker Posted April 25, 2013 Share #10 Posted April 25, 2013 Seems oversharpend and the tones seem too saturated, esp in the magenta zone. But may be the the Guy has a skintone like that.... Jmtc kr M
