Wow, what a great shot! Not only color coordinated but also geometrically coordinated with the curls in the pink shoe soles. And the reflection adds an additional layer of interest. I'll bet that this one would work in BW as a classic, you might consider.

tony, George & Paul - thank you.

Adam - It never struck me to do B&W with it since I thought the pink in the curlers, shoes and coffee cup were too important. But I tried (thank you) as you suggested: First completely B&W, and then all but her in B&W, as shown below.

Hi Stuart - To me, the BW is clearly the winner, and a keeper, as the woman's sunglasses and curlers take her back to another time - I'm thinking out of the movie Grease; and her modern shoes introduce an intruiging juxtaposition. Very cool....

Stuart,

A great shot! For me, the first version is the most interesting of all with the splash of yellow adding another pulse point. Her lipstick and nailpolish are also important elements of the story. In BW, all that is lost, IMO.

I agree with you Ece. Color is the only way to go.

Xalo - thank you.

Brent - Thank you. I almost always do carry a camera, NY and elsewhere. Of course when Barbara is with me and we're in NY the camera stays in the bag between shots so that she won't feel she looks like a tourist on our home turf.
