Canteen of "Der Spiegel" x3 (psychedelic alert - not for the faint-hearted)

When the Hamburg-based news-magazine Der Spiegel moved in a new, rather standard office-building in 1969, they asked the Danish architect Verner Panton to come up with something more exciting for the canteen interior.

Mr. Panton did deliver, obviously. When Der Spiegel moved in their current house in 2011, the canteen went to the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (arts and artisans), where I took these images.

I'm not, sure, whether I would decorate my sitting room in this manner, though...

Portra 800, pre-asph Summilux 35.

Thank you for your interest, my apologies to the faint-hearted, who looked nevertheless... ;)
