Photoskeptic Posted April 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I really don't care for photos of myself, but this one by my friend Gian Luigi was fun. I'm shooting the Leica 560 f6.8 on a D800. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! pauledell Posted April 18, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 18, 2013 John, You are destroying my vision of the Leica with that big lens. My biggest Leica combination is the M6 with a 90mm tele-Elmar (the skinny one). How do you like the D800? Paul
Photoskeptic Posted April 18, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted April 18, 2013 Hi Paul, thanks for your comments. I like the D800 quite a bit. It is a terrific landscape camera paired with Zeiss lenses. I can tell you it will be my last DSLR. When it croaks I will use just my Leicas. I hope it doesn't croak for a long time, though FYI, I'm taking a trip to Italy this fall and am still trying to decide between which system to use there. On the one hand, I want a Leica for shooting in the towns and on the other, I want the Nikon and Zeiss 21 for landscape. I do have a nice Leica WA, though...
