Orient XI Posted April 17, 2013 Share #6 Posted April 17, 2013 I like the way the strong back-lighting makes the petals appear translucent. Unfortunately all the outer petals of my narcissi have been frostbitten this year.
dkCambridgeshire Posted April 17, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted April 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I like the way the strong back-lighting makes the petals appear translucent. Unfortunately all the outer petals of my narcissi have been frostbitten this year. Thank you. The reason backlighting was chosen was to try and show the translucence and thus bring out otherwise not so obvious detail and form within the flower. hsw Posted April 19, 2013 Share #8 Posted April 19, 2013 Lovely images and thanks for showing your technique. As I was scrolling down, I was saying to myself, "I would really like to see how he did the lighting". Henry
