Lens choices for Hong Kong, Venice and Italy

I try to use my 50 most of the time. For buildings in cities, however, I found 28 to be what I use generally. If I cannot move further back, I use the 21 (and for some "dramatic shots, too, of course). If you want the Colosseum on one picture, you need a 21 ;). In HK, you're definitely well off with a 50 for street photography and 21 for buildings.

By the way, in the touristy places in Italy don't sit down when having a coffee - get it at the bar and stand there. The price difference can be huge (0,80 vs. 3 or 4 Euro). When they tel you to have a seat, just say "no, thanks" ;)

I'm going to offer no advice here...... I often think these "I'm going to... blah, blah, what should I take?" threads are just a way of someone boasting they are off on a trip somewhere. Lets face it, if you can't even work out what photographic gear to take away on holidays, how the hell do you ever make any of the real important decisions in life?

Started my RF photography 40 years ago, and have since travelled to all continents but one, and can say that I am still learning from forum-threads such as this one.

I am clearly on a different pathway of my photographic journey to many here.

In this thread, amongst the woods, I can see some trees of interest to me.

In my case, I'd take my 50-Lux/M240 and for any other FL use my Digilux-2 (ie 28mm - 90mm)
