This Grumman "Greenhouse" (a decommissioned cold war anti-submarine aircraft) is on display in the alley between the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts old and new buildings in downtown Philadelphia. Artist Jordan Griska bought the plane, folded and rebuilt it to look like it had crashed into this pad. The artist adapted the plane to be a greenhouse for medicinal plants. Welcome, dear visitor! Karl G Posted April 16, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 16, 2013 Nice picture and great plane. Regarding it's final demise...sad. I would prefer the artist cut up soup cans. But that is just me. I would prefer to see this bird on a ramp or preferably in the air.
pauledell Posted April 16, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 16, 2013 Stuart, A great pair. But I would not want to be in the plane when it landed. It would have been better left on a runway. Paul
