The Leica EVF is very expensive, would a Panasonic DMW-LVF1 work as well? Has anyone tried this? Are there any drawbacks?

Thanks

Thom

the panasonic DMW-LVF1 is not functioning. Only the LVF2 work as well without any drawbacks.

None this time. Seems like they learned from the 5. The port for the EVF on the 6 is slightly raised, so you can put even fairly thick screen protectors on and still use the EVF.

Thanks for the information although the pic would not open for me.

LVF-2 works perfectly. Perhaps you would need to see a Panasonic dealer?

Apologies for the poor quality of iPhone pictures :-)

I picked up a mint used Leica EVF3 (aka Pana LVF2) for my DLux6 late last year, and I find that it really transforms the shooting experience with this little gem. The only downside is the added bulk, but I can live with that.

I have the Lumix viewfinder on my DLux 6 and it is great. Transforms the camera and it is all I use now. I only use the screen to review.
