ECohen Posted April 16, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 16, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm a new Dlux6 owner with extensive knowledge in photography....so I have a good idea how to make a photograph. What a cool little camera this is,packed with lots of automatic features..... iISO, auto ISO, iDynamic, iResolution, Stabilizer, Scene mode, Snapshot mode, Program mode to name a few. With most automatic cameras I choose the biggest file size, set Mode to P, try to keep my ISO below 400 and think about the image....of course Here's my question: Hows everyone setting up their camera, when not shooting manual? Are there things you have learned about the Dlux's likes and dislikes in terms of image quality, sharpness and ease of operation? I've read the instructions, shot several hundred photos of my neighborhood the backyard and my living room. There's a ton of great choices with this camera....I'm a big fan of learning from others.....What are your right choices? Thanks for sharing

Thomv Posted April 18, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 18, 2013 Manual:D or A. iISO maximised at 400. File jpg and raw, 2 * 3 size. For all the automatic toys I use a Panasonic TZ-25.

vikasmg Posted April 21, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 21, 2013 (edited) Seems to be the common thread here. I use aperture priority most of the time and limit ISO to 800. Probably a little high but usually serves me fine. Used that for http://vikasgore.zenfolio.com/p834337926 - Vikas Edited April 21, 2013 by vikasmg
mhanke Posted April 23, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 23, 2013 On the D-Lux aperture priority and ASA maxed at 400. On the V-Lux 20 P-mode, since manual aperture setting is not convenient. Marcus
