scaryink Posted April 12, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 12, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I usually use profoto RGB for color photography and artwork. The reason is for its large color space - especially in the greens. I am unsure if all color spaces encompass equivalent luminance information. Does it matter what I use for my monochrom? In the past I have avoided srgb except for output to the web. I process using 16 bit for the most part. Thanks for you input. George
Advertisement Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Hi scaryink, Take a look here monochrom and colorspace. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted April 12, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 12, 2013 No it does not matter, but it does not harm to use Prophoto either.
scaryink Posted April 12, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted April 12, 2013 I understand the kit is hardwired as Srgb.
jaapv Posted April 12, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 12, 2013 No - it is not - Output raw and you can choose anything you want. Actually CS6 uses Greyscale 16 bits as default and LR4 Prophoto.
