75 Summicron ASPH

35 Summilux ASPH non-FLE

24 Summilux ASPH

I've settled on these three focal lengths over the years. 3 lens kit.

35 most of the time. 24 when I want to get in a bit closer, and I can usually shoot without the 24 finder.

75 for portraits and as a short tele.

I've tried 21,50 and 90 over the years and never gelled with them. 21 is too wide, 50 too tight (I keep having to step back) and 90 too much of a fiddle with the RF.

All three have great bokeh and nice rendering with the MM. I particularly like the vignetting of the 24 wide open.

35lux pre

35 asph

35 aspherical

Hi

And very interesting "choice" as I find myself to use 35mm a lot too (on the M9 though). So could I ask you to very shortly to comment on the main differences in expressions of these three lenses... the reasons for keeping all (except "value" of the aspherical.... because you mean the double asph first version...?). I keep the Cron v4 and the Lux pre-FLE and while I am very happy I guess I am also searching for more... :D

Regards, Stein

until about 2 weeks ago, i used the 50 APO almost exclusively on the MM. aside from the image quality, i also like the small size, weight and ''unobtrusiveness'' very much. the two first albums on the flickr link below were made with that combination.

two weeks ago, a 1964 21mm super angulon joined the set. so far, so good. :)
