allamande Posted April 12, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted April 12, 2013 K.-H., Paul, Stuart, As always, many thanks! I was very lucky that while I was watching them with camera in hand, this fella decided to get ambitious and I was quick enough. Paul, I am trying to entice you to make plans for another trip, and come out here and enjoy the place. Ece

As they say, "Timing is Everything". You picked the right time.

allamande Posted April 15, 2013 Author Share #11 Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) Karl, Bill, Tri, Orient, and Henry, Thank you so much! Luck is a big element in all this. I was happy that my reflexes worked when they needed to. Tri, yes, this is at Yosemite Valley, between the Ahwahnee and the Merced River. Upper Yosemite Fall is visible in the background. Henry, I am still learning my way through the small stuff (e.g. adjusting settings manually is not as easy as it was with DL4) but I like everything that it's produced so far! janlu Posted April 16, 2013 Share #12 Posted April 16, 2013 Ciao Ece.... This is fantastic ..... both for moment , colors and composition . The the diagonal big tree and the pose of the subject suggest a wonderful interaction between them..... all of this with the gorgeous and calm scene of the background !! Great shot , dear Ece !!
