Bill W Posted April 3, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted April 3, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was able to get a new 135 f3.4 last week. It had to go back to Leica for coding:mad: You would think they would just build them coded. It appears several dealers have them right now. Leica must have built their allotment for the years. Â The Noctilux is available as well at several dealers. If you are looking and need a source, let me know. Â The 50 APO Summicron is still missing in action:mad:
Advertisement Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Hi Bill W, Take a look here Lens Availability. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
RobertJRB Posted April 3, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted April 3, 2013 Are u sure its a new lens and not old stock? Â You can check with the serial number. New lenses after the introduction of the M8 (6 bit coding) should be 4 034 900 (end of 2006) or later.
jaapv Posted April 3, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted April 3, 2013 The 135/3.4 is a special case. Leica only started coding them recently.
Bill W Posted April 3, 2013 Author Share #4 Â Posted April 3, 2013 The serial # is 418xxxx. It came from Leica NJ last week. I had been waiting for one for a couple of months. For some strange reason they do not appear to be coding them unless you send it back and they do it for free.
