Lee Martin Posted April 2, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted April 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned on this website, but I've just read on The.me that Leica are to increase the price of some M lenses as of 1st May 2013 . Clearly no issues with " supply and demand "

kokoshawnuff Posted April 2, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted April 2, 2013 There are a number of lenses that now look 'cheap' in comparison to the APO Summicron 50, Leica is just rectifying the issue

kokoshawnuff Posted April 3, 2013 Share #8 Â Posted April 3, 2013 Nope...they increased the 50 APO price in the same general proportion. Â Yea. Just noticed that. The justifiable increases came in the Summarit line, they're great lenses and still afforable compared to the rest of the Leica M line
Guest borge Posted April 3, 2013 Share #9 Â Posted April 3, 2013 Weird, they left the Summilux 1.4/50 ASPH alone, but increased the 1.4/35's price and the APO-Summicrons price.

No, the 35 FLE they did not increase a year ago since it was introduced like between price increases. The APO 50 is so labor intensive I can see why they increased it a bit. Agree though on why not increase the Noctilux or the 50/1.4.  Lens sales are a bit slow so they are being cautious.

Agree though on why not increase the Noctilux or the 50/1.4. Lens sales are a bit slow so they are being cautious.  The dealers here in Norway actually increased the price for both the 1.4/50 and 1.4/35 Summilux'es by about €150 each! Glad I picked up my 35 FLE a couple of weeks before it happened.  I think the Noctilux 0.95/50 was increased in price however? Maybe the dealer / distributor here in Norway increased the prices on all lenses by about €150 a month ago. Cause the cost on all the lenses seems to have gone up here... rramesh Posted April 4, 2013 Share #15 Â Posted April 4, 2013 Summarit prices move up. Maybe they will become more desirable now.
Tonki-M Posted April 5, 2013 Share #16 Â Posted April 5, 2013 Summarit prices move up. Maybe they will become more desirable now. Â it is still cheap when taken into account that other lens' prices are moving up also, so luxury factor is still the same in the Leica lineup
mtomalty Posted April 9, 2013 Share #17 Â Posted April 9, 2013 As far as I know the price increase is already in effect in Canada. M users should consider themselves 'lucky'. A couple of the newer S lenses have increases in excess of $1500 Â Mark
IWC Doppel Posted April 9, 2013 Share #18 Â Posted April 9, 2013 I am pretty sure the September 2012 was the same and the Jan 2012 and is the same as the Feb 2013 price list in the UK. There was a price move between late 2011 and early 2012.
