Advertisement Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Hi rafikiphoto, Take a look here Spring Flowers 2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted April 2, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 2, 2013 Brian, A lovely shot with great composition, tones and sharpness. I feel the white petals in the center might be slightly washed out with a lack if detail. Paul
rafikiphoto Posted April 2, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted April 2, 2013 Thanks. Yes, I'll see if the highlights can be better recovered and repost. EDIT: I just went back to the original but there is nothing left to recover Paul. Sadly it is overexposed and the detail is shot.
rafikiphoto Posted April 2, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted April 2, 2013 I am amazed! I processed this file in LR 4.4RC and then into Silver Exex Pro 2 and still couldn't get much more out of those blown highlights. Then I had a thought and opened up Capture One Pro 7.1.1 and started again with the original. C1 has recovered much more detail from those highlights. I was so surprised that I went back again to LR and started again there but I could not match C1 for the recovery. Everything is rough and ready at the moment but I'll try to find time tomorrow to get a final cut of C1 and post it here.
