ananda Posted April 2, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone out there have the silver version of the 28 Summicron? I think they were discontinued a while back. Are they valuable in mint condition?

IWC Doppel Posted April 2, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 2, 2013 Anyone out there have the silver version of the 28 Summicron? I think they were discontinued a while back. Are they valuable in mint condition? Not too many around, I have seen them fetch a small premium when sold
rramesh Posted April 2, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 2, 2013 Nice. But do note that the 28 Cron in silver is anodized aluminium just like the black version and not in chrome brass. So it is the same weight.
D&A Posted April 5, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 5, 2013 I know of four of them in last 2 years that sold. One was in just excellent condition with no box that went for just under $3,700 (US $), the second which was between E+ to LN- with no box went for approx $4400, the third was LN and boxed and sold for just around $6,000 and the forth was essentually unused and boxed and that went for $6,350 . AND including the very nice and hard to get hold of hood 12466 also mint & boxed for what is worth. It all for USD 5.000,-. Very happy about it! Beyder28 Posted June 28, 2013 Share #6 Posted June 28, 2013 I have one here in NJ a year and a half ago. It's boxed and mint condition with hood. It's a great lens but I'm actually considering selling it to go wider like 24mm or 21mm.
