dalfrednix Posted March 31, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) It was inevitable that some would buy the camera just to make some $s. I have mine and will NOT sell. Some of these are "But-it-Nows for $8,000 or more. Insane!
Advertisement Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Hi dalfrednix, Take a look here Leica M 240s up for sale on eBAY. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
enboe Posted March 31, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2013 So far, there have been three 10770's on the local Craig's list and nine on ebay from various locales. The lowest price would have been only a $200 premium over MSRP + tax, but warranty would have been in question, plus it's hard to ask for service when you don't buy from a dealer in the first place. I leave for two weeks tomorrow and have to default to a lowly M9uP (is that the official term for an M9 with P upgrades?). My 10771 is out there somewhere in some state of assembly, and will arrive when it arrives. Happy shooting.
algrove Posted March 31, 2013 Share #3 Posted March 31, 2013 You know when you leave that's when it's going to arrive.
EBruner Posted April 1, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 1, 2013 If the warranty card has not been sent in, there should be no problems with the warranty in the US. Leica doesn't know you bought it on ebay, or care. -Eddie
MarkP Posted April 1, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 1, 2013 I leave for two weeks tomorrow and have to default to a lowly M9uP.. I feel for you having to slum it with such a piece of crap . Haven't you noticed how the IQ deteriorated so dramatically the day the M240 was announced?

(I guess the date specified on the original receipt) Is it the same for the cameras? ...just wondering, no way I would buy it for the premium price. I'm still waiting patiently to receive a call. When I registered my M9, X2, and Leica Lenses, I was never once asked for a receipt or proof of when it was purchased. Not online, or in the mail in card. -Eddie
