Atracksler Posted March 30, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted March 30, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been bouncing back and forth about getting a leica lens for my M8. The Voigtlander Nokton 40mm is pretty good, but part of me keeps saying it does not have the Leica Magic. Â But then Pictures like this come out of my camera... Advertisement Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Hi Atracksler, Take a look here Voigtlander Nokton 40mm - working for me.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chalkdust Posted April 1, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted April 1, 2013 A good photographer (as you are) is much better than a good lens. I also use the 40mm Nokton on my M8 and have no complaints about it. Â I enjoy looking at your photo. Great work!
RSo Posted August 3, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted August 3, 2013 I feel the exact same way with mine...used it exclusively for 1 year on a m8 it's a bit soft at f1.4 the focus shift at f2.8-4 the busy bo-keh but it's so small, cheap, and focus to 0.7m To solve all of these would require at least 10x invest of the cost of the lens (say 35lux asph fle) and at the moment it is not worth it for me. But then again shooting Leica is not about rationalizing cost... "One step at a time Rick one lens at a time" - me
