Popular Post fotografr Posted March 29, 2013 Popular Post Share #1 Posted March 29, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) George Box, a long time friend, died yesterday. But this is one of those rare instances in which there is no reason to feel sad, except for the loss of his company and wonderful sense of humor, because he had a full and complete life and made it to the age of 94. I took this portrait several years ago for the jacket of one of his books. Way to go, George! We should all be so lucky. Welcome, dear visitor! Lee Martin Posted March 29, 2013 Share #3 Posted March 29, 2013 I'm sorry for your loss, but if he spent a great percentage of his life with this expression on is face, then he had a good time, and what can be better than that.

Leonardo Being a statistician you, probably more than anyone on this forum, understand the loss. Fortunately, he was able to finish his last book, a memoir, before he died. He was an amazing person and always an absolute delight to talk with. He had stories in his head that could go long into the night.
sblitz Posted April 3, 2013 Share #12 Posted April 3, 2013 Great portrait, conveys the personality of a wonderful man. Godspeed, and my sympathies to you and his family for the loss of a friend. In the end, is there any better testament to someone than saying friend?
