WilhelmR Posted March 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Now that i've got my new Zeiss Biogon 21mm f/2.8 lens i wanted to code it as Elmarit 28mm f/2.8 11809 according to Zeiss' recommendation (sehr gut = very good). By mistake i coded it the wrong way around. Pressing the Info button i got the following lens information: 28mm f/1.4. I took a shot with my M9 and looked at the EXIF data: unknown lens. Maybe with FW 2.000 we will get an 1.4 lens?
Advertisement Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Hi WilhelmR, Take a look here New secret lens?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wizard Posted March 28, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 28, 2013 I wouldn't be too surprised if a Summilux-M 1.4/28 was in the making. At that point, they will likely drop the Summicron 28mm and retain the Elmarit-M 28asph. Andy
farnz Posted March 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted March 28, 2013 ... I took a shot with my M9 and looked at the EXIF data: unknown lens. ... That might be because your Biogon brings up different frame lines perhaps? Pete.
WilhelmR Posted March 28, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted March 28, 2013 That might be because your Biogon brings up different frame lines perhaps? Pete. Pete, after right coding everything is fine.
farnz Posted March 28, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 28, 2013 I was making the point that if your Biogon brought up the appropriate frame lines then the EXIF data should show the lens as the 28 Summilux rather than an unknown lens. Pete.
