I have recently accquired a new to me 35 summi (serial 239x)

Based on what I have read

Antique and Classic Cameras

This should be a version 2. This is my inscription

LEITZ WETZLAR 2XXXXXX SUMMICRON 1:2/35

It also said "Made in Germany" on the barrel base.

I thought that all/most/some 35 summicron (non asph) were made in Canada?

What do you think?

Well, the version 1 Summicron 35 was made both in Canada and Germany, and so was the version 4. I believe I have just recently seen a version 2 made in Wetzlar, too.
