platel Posted March 26, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted March 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought a Leitz Canada Summicron (SN 2447xxx), in a really amazing condition. The hood is slightly dented, but the glass is pristine. I had the lens cleaned and inspected by a renowned Leica repair man here in Holland and he told me that this lens was a true collector's item and worth a lot because it was the first black model with the aperture lever. Â Is this indeed true? I never saw one of these lenses for sale. Any idea on the value I should put on the insurance? Â
