HeinzX Posted March 19, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, this picture showing a small farmhouse with the garden was taken last summer with my M9 and the Macro Elmarit 90mm and is a light crop. I am looking forward to the coming summer, hope will come soon. Welcome, dear visitor! k-hawinkler Posted March 19, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 19, 2013 Heinz, WOW! Terrific light, texture, colors, and composition of a pastoral scene. I can hear Beethoven's "Pastorale" including the cuckoo. Thanks.

Orient XI Posted March 20, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 20, 2013 Looks like pointilism on my screen. Did you use an "artistic" filter in post-processing?
HeinzX Posted March 20, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted March 20, 2013 No, there was used no special filter. In this case the effect was achieved by extreme sharpening and high radius. But this does not always work - it depends on the photograph.
k-hawinkler Posted March 20, 2013 Share #6 Posted March 20, 2013 Over-sharpened was my first reaction. But it created in this case a very nice artistic effect! Well done.
alun Posted March 27, 2013 Share #7 Posted March 27, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sadly, it makes my eyes tingle - and not in a good way.
platypus Posted April 1, 2013 Share #8 Posted April 1, 2013 The effect is interesting I guess, but personally I find it a tad disturbing. Sorry
HeinzX Posted April 1, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted April 1, 2013 Thanks all for looking and remarks. I should add, that a big finished print comes out in another way like looking at it on a relativ small computer monitor where the eye is pretty more irritated by the many points which are in a small distance.
