M3-type film advance lever on M4, etc.?

I heard some people have fitted some M3-type accessories, such as the advance lever, preview lever, etc. on the M4, to make the M4 look more like the M3.

I have both the chrome M3 and M4, and I like the looks of the M3 better. Was it Tom Abrahamsen who originally did that? How do I proceed to make that happen on my M4?

Also, where is a good source of UV filters and the traditional chrome front lens caps for the 35mm, 50mm, and 90mm Summicron lenses, and the 90mm & 135mm Elmars? (Dull chrome with Leica logo).

All of my lenses date back to the 1960's or so, but my latest 50mm Summicron (chrome) is the present production version, with sliding hood. This one has the black plastic lens cap, held on by opposing spring clips. It's slower to use than the friction type.

Suggestions will be welcome. The old LHSA quarterly printed catalog used to be full of cameras and accessories for sale by fellow members. I miss it.
