Processing for Ektar

I did a good search on the forum and online, but i couldn't find an answer, so i'm sorry if this has been answered before.

I'm no longer able to process my own TriX, and local places that will as far more than i'm happy to pay, so i've started using color film only in my M6. Having run a couple of rolls of Ektar through it, i gotta say, i really love the colours and will be using it exclusively from now on.

I also have an M9 and M8, and while i shoot primarily for black and white, some images look best in colour, so i'd love to replicate the Ektar look with them in post!

I use Aperture and Color Efex Pro 3, but i haven't found an Ektar profile for either. I also don't fancy paying $80 or so just for the one profile.

So, has anyone had much luck replicating Ektar in post?

I was thinking that if i don't have much luck here, i will shoot a whole roll in my M6, matching the shots with the M9 and M8 with the same lens. Then once i've scanned and balanced, i'll process the digital files to match and save them as presets.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Ps. here are a couple of examples from my M6.

Just happened to see this and realised no one has answered you in nearly 2 years! This is not an aster either. Just a thought that your query may be too esoteric for anyone to really have an answer to, given that Ektar film was discontinued about 19 years ago! If you have found an answer since you posted this question do let me know - I'm be curious.

Nice pictures, BTW.

?? He posted the question on the 15th. And yes, as Andy says, Ektar is a current film.

I have tried it but must admit that I wasn't entirely happy with the colours. I'm not sure I'd want to replicate it, as I had to 'correct' them in PS.
