I wonder if #1 would work in B&W; then the chromatic aberration would not be apparent and you could then tolerate more noise/(grain) and not have to apply so much N.R. The V-Lux series seems very prone to C.A. when pushed, which is why a lot of my longer shots with the PanaLeicas are presented in monochrome. Great series of images of your trip on your website!
