It's just their way of communicating in a fairly high stress situation. Normally we have just one or two Robin families in the summer. This winter there were hundreds of Robins around. More or less they all behave very similarly. There is hardly enough space in a water dish to bath and for several birds to drink at the same time. We have set out 5 or 6 water dishes and at times all of them are pretty busy with birds simultaneously. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
