jbl Posted March 31, 2013 Share #21 Â Posted March 31, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm still waiting, but I'm only around 70 days so far. I'd like to have it back, but I'm keeping myself busy with my 50s.
Advertisement Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Hi jbl, Take a look here APO-TELYT_M 135 MM 6 Bit Upgrade. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Bill W Posted April 1, 2013 Share #22 Â Posted April 1, 2013 I think I will have a new 135 coming tomorrow and it should be coded. Leica must have build three of them and used your coded lens part.
jbl Posted April 1, 2013 Share #23 Â Posted April 1, 2013 I think I will have a new 135 coming tomorrow and it should be coded. Leica must have build three of them and used your coded lens part. Â They probably had to borrow parts from our 50mm APOs.
Bill W Posted April 2, 2013 Share #24 Â Posted April 2, 2013 Update The dealer said it was not coded but Leica would code it and it would be 1 to 2 weeks and I said OK. I will probably get your coded mounting base and I am sorry about that. You would think that a brand new lens from Leica would come coded from them at this point. I told the dealer that based on what I had read on others waiting for theirs, I would rather wait but he insisted that it would only be a week to 10 days so maybe there is hope for others. I have not paid anything for my "new coded 135" yet as the dealer sent it back to Leica NJ.
jbl Posted April 3, 2013 Share #25 Â Posted April 3, 2013 I just got an email that they shipped it back to me, so I guess I got one ahead of you .
Bill W Posted April 3, 2013 Share #26 Â Posted April 3, 2013 Great, I wonder why they do not just code all of them and save the added expense of adding the coded base later. Most everyone wants the exif data. Oh well.
jbl Posted April 3, 2013 Share #27 Â Posted April 3, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'd assume it's just what there supply chain looks like lens wise.
jbl Posted April 5, 2013 Share #28  Posted April 5, 2013 And the saga continues. The lens came back today, but I think there may now be something wrong with the lens hood. How far is it supposed to extend? I can’t remember, but it’s only extending about 1/2 an inch.  -jbl
Bill W Posted April 5, 2013 Share #29 Â Posted April 5, 2013 I dont have mine yet but that does not sound like enough extension. Others can answer but is it one that once extended you give it a twist to stay in a locked position.
jbl Posted April 5, 2013 Share #30  Posted April 5, 2013 Yeah, that’s how I remember it too. Great...  -jbl
menos I M6 Posted April 6, 2013 Share #31 Â Posted April 6, 2013 I dont have mine yet but that does not sound like enough extension. Others can answer but is it one that once extended you give it a twist to stay in a locked position. Â The lens hood on mine extends 16mm, measured from the front rim. The lens hood is not a "twist lock design", but simply pulls out and can be knocked back (as pre ASPH 50 Summilux or Noctilux v4). Â My lens hood was like this from new, when I bought mine ~3 years ago.
jaapv Posted April 6, 2013 Share #32 Â Posted April 6, 2013 The lens hood on the Apo 135 is a simple pull-out type, unlike the Summilux 50 asph hood, which is twist-lock.
enboe Posted April 22, 2013 Share #33 Â Posted April 22, 2013 While waiting for my M240 to come in, I decided that I might as well have my 135/3.4 coded, so I dropped it off at the local dealer on 4/19. Let's see how long this one takes. Which will be first, the camera or the lens?
jbl Posted April 22, 2013 Share #34 Â Posted April 22, 2013 The lens.
