Guest roey Posted March 5, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not sure whether this has been reported here: The German Leica site has posted the official camera manual as a PDF file for download (German and English in one file). You can download at Leica Camera AG - Fotografie - LEICA M -- just click on ANLEITUNGEN in the list of links on the right hand side. Now a question for those of you who already have an M: The manual states that the M supports HSS (high speed sync) with an SF-58. Has anybody tried this? How well does it work?

Fgcm Posted March 5, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 5, 2013 In hss mode you can use SF58 up to 1/4000 Of course the guide number is reduced when in hss, but it works fine to fill in in daylight shooting. Example: you can fill in a backlit portrait at f2.8 and 1/4000 on a beach. To fill in, you need fast shutter speeds It works the same as on M7 Ciao Franco
